CephalonEngine is currently maintained by Cephalon-Labs with community contributions. Planning, design decisions, and dispute resolution follow a lightweight process.
Planning cadence
Section titled “Planning cadence”- Weekly triage of new issues and PRs.
- Monthly roadmap review.
- Per-minor planning sync that locks the scope of the next preview release.
Decision making
Section titled “Decision making”- Default is consensus among active maintainers.
- Escalation for contested decisions goes to a maintainer-only vote with a 72-hour minimum window.
- Reversal of a maintainer decision requires a new proposal with new information.
RFC process
Section titled “RFC process”Significant architectural changes follow a lightweight RFC process:
- Open an Issue with the
kind/rfclabel. - Describe motivation, proposed design, alternatives considered, migration impact.
- Maintainers comment, request revisions.
- Decision recorded in the Issue and linked from the roadmap.
